Carrefour management is now 18 months into the "En Avant" growth strategy. The implementation of these directives creates new structures within the organization which will help to implement changes in the merchandising and marketing plans and deliver against the aggressive short-term expectations of company shareholders.
The latest development of this plan involves the "reinvention of the hypermarket" project expected to start in September 2010. After 18 months of launching new platforms for the Groupe supermarket, convenience and discounter businesses, management is now focused on reviving sales and shopper loyalty within Carrefour’s largest format, the hypermarket.
In addition to detailing the latest evolution of Carrefour’s structures and stores, this Kantar Retail workshop will provide a fact-based forecast on the future of Carrefour’s business and the implications for suppliers working with this retailer.
Focus markets for the session are the G4 (France, Spain, Italy and Belgium), Brazil and China.
